9 New and Noteworthy Add-ons for Chrome , Firefox and Opera in April 2012

This article list some of the new and useful add-ons / extension / plugins for your browser.

There are 4 new add-ons of Chrome below which you may find helpful. Adding to this list is 3 new Firefox add-ons and Opera 2 most popular add-ons.

Chrome

1. Stop Load – Web pages that have lots of adverts, images and social elements often takes more time to load. This extension is helpful in such cases, as this allows you to  stop all of them after a set time. You just have to set the number of seconds you are willing to wait.

2. WebView – This add-on lets you collect images, text and other web content without bookmarking the whole page. The transparent clippings are stored on a separate tab, and refresh automatically when your selections are updated. Use scissors icon on the toolbar to clip content.

3. Video Resizer for YT – This chrome add-on lets you zoom in on a clip. YouTube offers three video player sizes: standard, medium and large. Using this extension you can easily make the window as large or as small as you want.

4. TabMemFree – This is a useful add-on which reduces memory waste by forwarding all the inactive tabs to an empty page to stop them. Click on the tab to return to the original page.

FireFox

5. Collusion – This add-on lets you visualise the sites which are following you around the web. It keeps track of third party cookies. This tool creates a diagram that shows which sites are following you.

6. My Weekly Browsing Schedule – As its name suggest it lets you set your every week browsing schedule. It could be useful for tasks such as paying bills, checking lottery numbers or ordering groceries, etc.

7. Image Resizer/Scalar - This tool is helpful in those situations when you are not able to view content of a small image on a website. Simply click on the image and drag it  outwards to make it large, or inwards to reduce its size.

Opera

8. Web Timer – This opera add-on tell you about how much time you have spend on different websites. This tool creates colour-coded pie chart that shows the number of minutes you spent on each website.

9. Google Maps Full Screen – This add-on lets you expand the current map to fill your screen. All the elements aside from navigation controls are hidden to give you the clearest possible view.
