In this fast pacing world, everyone needs to be ahead of the game.Considering the fact, there are too many thingsoccurring around us which we need to stay tuned to.
So why we need to be aware, because information about society and its issues make us more responsible for the society. For example, if more young guns are taught about the adverse effects of global warming, they will surely keep an eye in fuel saving. If they are taught about social issues and problems, they will make a effort to do something about it, therefore improving society as a whole.
There are a lot of social problems like female infanticide, alcoholism, drug abuse, global warming, etc. which are still huge problems around us. It is essential that more and more people be made aware of these issues so that we can fight them as a united country. Social awareness also makes the individual more mature and thoughtful when it comes to making important decisions for them or society.
Now there are many sources of media which continuously feed us by making creative campaigns on social awareness. Today I am going to show some of the creative campaigns from around the world on social awareness which helps to push the masses other than creative satisfaction.
8 creative Social Awareness Campaigns
1) Campaign against Land Mines
A problem like landmines , the idea should be creative enough to raise awareness and fund to fight against it. In some New Zealand restaurants, the ketchup packs are designed in such a way that when you cut if from side, you can see the effects that leg is cut and blood is there due to landmines.
2) Stop Music Piracy
“It only takes 2 minutes to kill a legend. Stop illegal downloading”
This is ad created for Music one for stopping music piracy. This ad depicts that death is not only way to kill a music legend, only 2 minutes of illegal downloading kills them.
3) Stop killing animals
“Killed to Dress. SAY NO TO FUR”
This ad is designed to make us realize that stop killing animals for sake of fashion by showing a woman wearing a fur coat made by bear fur.
4) Anti-Poverty
“Not everyone has access to basic necessities. Adequate minimum income. Everybody deserves a decent life.”
A simple and effective public awareness campaign by European Anti Poverty Network, an independent network of non-governmental organizations(NGOs), against poverty and social exclusion in the Member States of the European Union.
5) Recession 101 Billboards
[ad]
These are the billboards which were placed at the time of recession in America and very succinct reminder that the nation will come from these troubled time.
6) Sleep before drive
“Sleep Before you Drive”
Do I need a explanation for this? Have a proper sleep before you drive because blink of an eye cause accidents as shown in this ad. Not to forget too, “Don’t drink and drive”.
7) WWF : Emergency Services
“You can’t afford to be slow in an emergeny. Act now for the planet”
This ad was an WWF initiative to tell authorities of emergency services that rescuing is more important than chit-chat on mobile, smoking or piss(thought its an emergency too).
8 ) Campaign against War in Iraq
“What goes around, come around. Stop the Iraq War”
One of my favorite, a very conceptual campaign against war in Iraq where these posters were designed to wrap around the poles. The theme “What Goes Around Comes Around” is aptly communicated by showing the rifles, missiles and tank guns coming round the pole to catch up with the aggressor in each poster.
I know might be these are not most of the creative campaigns around the world, but they really push me to think about the society.. Does anyone of these pulled you up too, do share your views with us!

nice ones! very interesting campaigns!
Welcome to savedelete and thanks for dropping comment. Glad you like it
really interesting campaigns…specially the landmine and iraq war ad capaign
I think your heart is in the right place. However, for every cause you listed, there are groups who don’t see it the way you do. For example, the stop killing animals agenda is highly controversial. I eat meat, most Americans eat meat. If I dare say my wife has a fur handed down from her mother (When it wasn’t a crime to own a fur) the PETA people might storm my house and kill me.
Just sayin’
I agree with you that there are different groups and every one has its view of points. But what I tried here, collect the best creative social campaigns and show it to my readers. I really appreciate your views and would look for more wonderful comments in the future. Still lot to learn from you and surely keep your views in mind for my next post.
Off topic : You have admitted here that you own a fur, hope any of the PETA member don’t look this comment. lolz
Excellent. the message of each agenda is supremely communicated.
Thanks Hal Brown. Its your comment that made this post complete. Complete from both facets.
Expecting some more to come in future.

Welcome dude to savedelete and thanks for your comment. I totally agreed with you that without Brown’s comment this post was not complete.
Will surely try to come up with more good posts in the future. Keep coming to savedelete

Recession BillBoard seems interesting to me.

That’s my favorite too. The message is very loud and clear in this campaign.
Very Powerful stuff there Yogesh. Thanks for sharing this post with the world!
The power of advertising know no bounds and to quote a line in a famous marvel comic movie “With Great Power, Comes Great Responsibility”
I agree it is probably one of your more controversial posts but a top class one at that! I hope it inspires other fellow bloggers like me about their Next Post!
Many Thanks for Sharing and All The Best

Wow Man,Thanks for sharing ” With great power, comes great responsibility”.That’s very true dude.
Btw,thanks for appreciating my initiative here. And all the best to you too, you had done good job till now
You have all missed the point completely. While your actions are indeed important, what’s more important is what your choices do TO YOU. If we consider how killing, or stealing, or hatred is blinding us to what makes us our true, awesome and happy selves, we might think and act differently. Being human, we unfortunately need gruesome reminders such as the images above.
The world is a mirror. If we choose to learn the easy way, it will show us that way. Yet, we favor learning the hard way, and the world obliges.
Thanks for your comments Sid and sharing your views with us. While I only tried here to show some social awareness campaigns which pulled the masses, I tried not to give my own views over these images because as Hal Brown said these actions are different for different groups. But, I am glad you like my actions.
Btw, I really like what you said in the last “The world is a mirror. If we choose to learn the easy way, it will show us that way. Yet, we favor learning the hard way, and the world obliges”. Its very true and its human tendency.
What a great article… I particularly loved: Recession 101 Billboards & What goes around comes around …

Hi Yogesh, I am here for the very first time. And I must say, I am quite impressed with your site. beautifully designed and very professional. And, this post is really good. very thoughtful indeed. Well, I think all of these social campaigns have something to think for everyone. To be telling you, which one pulled me..is not at all easy for me. Impressed a lot with ‘what goes around comes around’ This is true to the bloggers too. I never asked with anybody to write comments or tweet my posts or digg them. Because I’m doing them actively, I’m getting them as well. Just another facet of your ‘What goes around comes around’.
.-= Suresh Khanal´s last blog ..What Goes Around Comes Around =-.

The anti-poverty ad is great. Not every get access to basic necessities.

@ Wiredcubes : Yes, agreed, that is great and very powerful at the same time. Hope this situation ends very soon
very interesting post. The one about the land mines really caught my attention allthough it’s a bit macabre…
Thanks that you found the post interesting and dropping a comment is really appreciated. Well, land mines campaign was specially designed to be like this so that they would get more attention for fund cause.
Hi, I applaud your blog for informing people, very interesting article, keep up it coming
Thanks for heads up. Really appreciate your comment and motivated me too
Animal mistreatment has constantly bothered me. It seems like it is getting worse, at least where I live. But there are nonetheless good individuals out there who feel like I do that we must take care of them. I hope the judicial system will catch up with our means of thinking about this. It is still treated as a relatively small crime. That’s wrong.
Its getting worse all of the world dude not only in your country. And agreed from you that it is taken as small crime. Hope judicial system will become strict over the killing of animals.
All good pics. Funny to see too. But have internal meanings.
Yes dude, yet being funny they have lots of internal meetings attached to them. Hope will people follow some of them.
I cannot understand what is depicted in the pic sleep before drive. Can you tell that.
When you not sleep well your eyes blink sometimes , and even a blink cause accidents. This pic depicting that proper sleep is necessary before drive. Because when you blink yours eyes, it blackout for that moment and you not able to see in that.
Hi Yogesh Mankani, can I save these pics and send to my friends as mail ?
Ya sure dude, No probs
A NICE INITIATIVE. KEEP THE PEOPLE IMFORM.
very interesting article as well as collection of campaigns.Very very thought provoking. an step towards an informed society.
While I agree with the campaigns, they are all designed to “stop” something. If we had a campaign for “truth”, where truth and honesty meant something and was truly valued, the campaign to “stop” things would not be necessary. Also, if there was a campaign for more compassion and understanding, where perhaps more heart felt listening occurred before the head ingaged, we might actually learn.
The ketchup idea is provocative. I don’t think “walking on a landmine is routine” but there are some left in Cambodia and a lot of people are missing legs. I’ve met them and spoken with them and this is a very serious issue.
Not sure what NZ has to do with the non-proliferation of landmines anyway, I think this is a good idea, but not for landmines– too funny for something so serious as landmines, in fact I am a bit irritated at it.
Why would I give $3? I don’t see the link between my money and the mines being removed. It costs US$1,000 to remove one mine if I remember correctly. This is a classic example of a scam or initiative (if you’re lucky) that’s been done simply to be clever, and it’s not very clever to boot.
I looked at the NZ website and there is not one shot of the victims up there. I’ve met the victims and they are kids who had nothing to do with the war and now they can’t play football. This is a bullshit scam and the agency responsible should wake up. If you knew anything about the killings in Cambodia you’d never make it into a ketchup scam.
i consider that it may be the best campaign on iraq anti war
i have visited this website first time it is quite attractive & well designed
these are wonderful campaigns I do hope one of mine gets picked someday.
