In our previous post, we explain the trick to solve the problem with facebook status updates when you have 250+ friends. Today, I am trying to compile some Gtalk tips that lets you make most out of your Gtalk
Why I am posting this article ?
I love Gtalk because its very light, fast and low CPU memory usage.
7 tips to make your Gtalk experience more interesting
1) Want to run two or more Google accounts
If you want to run two or more Google accounts and want to use both at the same time. I believe this is the best trick for you.
Right click on Google talk shortcut and select properties, now change the target field to:
On the Target field, add in the /nomutex to the end of the line so that it looks like below.
“c:\program files\google\google talk\googletalk.exe” /nomutex
Now you can open as many Google account by clicking on Gtalk Desktop Icon.
2) Want some cool themes for your Gtalk
I know you are bored while using same white Gtalk from last 5 years but now you can revamp your Gtalk applications with custom made themes or downloadable themes. You can download Gtalk themes from http://gtalk.anthonysottile.com/ or http://gtheme.sravi.com/
3) Want to use Gtalk application on your mobile
All of us want to stay connected with our friends on the go and now you can use Gtalk in your mobile phone. The Official Google Software for chatting with your friends works with only iPhone and Android. If you are not using Android or iPhone, you can use Gtalk by downloading J2me client from http://www.gotalkmobile.com/gotalkmobile_supported_phones.html
4) Want to use Gtalk without installing and downloading
Now you can use Gtalk without even downloading and installing it. Just click this link http://talkgadget.google.com/talkgadget/popout and enjoy all the features of Gtalk in your browser. This is very useful for the ones who do not have access of Gtalk at the workplace.
5) Want to show idle statues and be active at the same time
Sometimes, we have to chat with the unwanted friends even we don’t want to but has to to maintain the relationship. The best way to keep unwanted friends away is to be invisible or keeping the Gtalk status idle. As we all know, Gtalk has no provision of invisible status. But now, you can cheat Gtalk by forcibly sets your status to idle by downloading gAlwaysIdle
