number 7 is number 1 to me, and when semweb finally hits, i think she’ll be number 1 across the board. i’m not being critical here, i just think going more in depth on the topic would not only do your blog a great service, but would enlighten and empower your visitors.
content is king? nope, well structured content is king.
providing alternate content is crucial, however, having alternate pages can get quite sticky. it’s all relative, and flash does have its place on the web, but i highly recommend not doing anything in flash that has anything to do with content/seo. use flash to add to the user experience.

Thanks for the good tips. I have seen the PR decrease on my blog from 5 to 4 since I last checked a couple a months ago. The main reason must be the relative drought in blogposts the last months, with some weeks only the automatic Twitter Tools weekly Twitter summeries to the blog as only post (incidently filled with no follow short url links). I wonder if these posts full of tweets have a bad effect. I am considering editing all the posts in to proper lond do follow links, and wonder if that would have any posotive effect on PR. At least it would create trackbacks and generate some traFfic that way, although do_follow links may bloat PR instead.
Does anyone know?

I did an experiment with social networks, and I can tell you it is highly effective. The pagerank of those sites are pretty high so a link from there kicks your site up like anything. Google keyword rankings also improved greatly.
Even with nofollow links, the site gets more noticed with the related keywords in the anchor text.

Commenting on dofollow web sites does wonders for me. I have noticed it personally. As I get links from the posts and visitors come to my site seeing the recent post of mine if they find it to be interesting.
