  1. if stuff in some framework or pure javascript with few mine functions really makes difference. jQuery actually, as most used, stands for other frameworks also.

  2. For what its worth – JavaScript was not designed to look like Java. It was originally Live Script and because of some marketing ploy the name was changed to JavaScript.
    For instance, JavaScript has closures Java (at this point does not). JavaScript does not have strongly typed objects, Java does.
